I'm an Indian travelling with family (senior citizens). My priority was minimal walking to bus/train and 0-minimal stairs for reaching room. Hotel Stromboli is perfect ! 1. Rome's central train station 'Roma termini' 5 mins. walk (~150 mtrs. but parents' speed is slow hence 5 mins.) 2. Bus stop for within-Rome travel is 3 mins. walk (~50 mtrs.) 3. Hop on Hop off buses - CitySightseeing, GreenLine, BigBus Exactly opposite to the hotel, GrayLine (which I had booked) is 5 mins. walk (~100 mtrs.) from hotel. 4. Staff will clean the room without any extra request. You return from your day trip, you'll find changed sheets, emptied bins, new covers, etc. 5. Breakfast spread is 10 EUR per person - Good enough (Indians may want to avoid, 80% menu is sweet, but that's with entire Europe) 6. Eateries dotted in 5 mins. walk from hotel. 7. Staff is EXTREMELY helpful (my shirt got torn, they helped me with needle & matching thread :) ! )

I liked it as it is very close to the train station , and the bus station if you arrive from those . The hotel was nice , very easy to find backside to the road of the train station. There is a little restaurant near by who propose salad pizza decent one. The hotel himself is nice and the breakfast was nice too , lot of choice of course its not the buffet of a 4 stars hotel . But the two person i guess from indonesia or philippines were not gracious and i have to say 3 times hello for geting an answer and if i ask a coffe neither one smile or else. The room was very small i have been disapointed, the shower and the aera of the hotel were great. The receptionist at the check in was very fast and great. There is a storage on the hotel where a person keep the lugage in a safety room if you check out before and they give you a ticket ( free of charge )

Amazing location. Transportation from the airport? Shuttle buses going to both Fiumicino and Ciampino stop right in front of the hotel. Want to see highlights in a short time? Hop on hop off buses leave right in front of the hotel. Are you going to another city? Termini central station is just across the road. Are you traveling on a low budget? Here's a comfortable hotel option for the price of a hostel. There is a breakfast option at the hotel, but I did not use it. Because there are many places to have breakfast around. Even after midnight, there are places where you can eat like burgers, pizza, etc. Termini and its surroundings seemed scarier when I arrived a few years ago. But this last time I went I felt safer. Finally the staff was really nice. The lady who left her breakfast unfinished and sent me off, I will not forget you.

I was expecting a single room, with single bed and very small room with poor condition according with the price that I payed, but was a pleasant to stay there as the room exceeded my expectations ☺️. The room was a single but normal size. The bed was a small double but not single, and one more surprising was that I had a small balcony 💃the room and bathroom was clean and everything needed. And location was perfect! The elevator was old fashioned but very nice😊small but charming. But not forget after you leave the elevator to close internal doors and external doors, otherwise other people won't be able to use and will think that is broken!)

I don't understand why this place has such low rating. It is such a "by the book" hotel with literally all the essentials, not to mention the location is fantastic, it is downtown Rome! 24h check in, not some dodgy bnb type of check-in. Everything is spotlessly clean. I came here because I had to leave my previous booking due to some horrific check-in experiences and I didn't have a choice really, it was the only one available to be booked on the same day. But now I think I would come back to this place for this price any time I am back to Rome. Good, clean, basic, reliable, close to center. I even had a mini fridge in the room.
